Ray's Fly #1/0 (3") $4.00 each
This sparsely tied Ray Bonderew classic is an excellent imitation of a silverside or sand eel. It's a great spring fly.

Ray's Fly Flatwing #1/0 (3") $4.25 each
Based on Ray Bondorew's legendary Ray's Fly I have replaced the olive bucktail in the wing and peacock herl topping with a single olive saddle tied in flat over yellow bucktail for greater movement. In addition, I moved the white bucktail from the wing to the tail to reduce fouling. The fly also has silver flash and rainbow crystal flash. The original silver body is replaced with light blue body braid and has proven to be even more effective. The fly suggests silversides and sand eels.

Nacht Tern #1/0 (3") $4.00 each
This is Bob Nauheim's classic San Francisco Bay striper bucktail from the 1950's but it works anywhere there are stripers. I use this fly on dark nights in clear water. Like the Ray's Fly it is tied sparse and is also a great spring fly.

Nacht Tern Flatwing #1/0 (3") $4.25 each
This flatwing is based on Bob Nauheim's San Francisco Bay striper bucktail from the 1950's. This version moves the original gray fox topping under a narrow black saddle in the wing for greater movement. I also added black and silver flash. This change gives the fly more movement. This fly suggests silversides and other narrow bodied baits.

Orange Surface Clam Worm Fly #4 (1¾") $3.75 each
Two years ago I began tying Bombers with a very narrow cigar-shaped profile to take stripers on spring tide worm swarms with amazing results. However, I found that Bombers did not stay on top in very slow moving water and weren't durable enough for the action that worm swarms can bring. The answer was a neutral color foam back with a tail of hot orange calftail and a body dubbed with burnt orange seal on a strong black salmon hook.
